Django | Rotten Tomatoes (1) Kevin Maher Times (UK) It plays like a darker, nastier B-side to A Fistful of Dollars... Rated: 4/5 Jan 12, 2024 Full Review Django | Rotten Tomatoes (2) Budd Wilkins Slant Magazine Sergio Corbucci's film is notable not only for the artistry of its construction, but also for the underlying anger that fuels its political agenda. Rated: 3.5/4 Dec 20, 2012 Full Review Django | Rotten Tomatoes (3) John Townsend Starburst Corbucci’s film is as angry as it is poignant, filled with its director’s intense hatred for fascism while refusing to allow any character what could be truly defined as a happy ending or arguably even redemption. Rated: 4/5 Jan 22, 2024 Full Review Django | Rotten Tomatoes (4) Eddie Harrison film-authority.com …a refreshingly amoral take on the Western back in 1966, and offers superior stagecraft to the many genre imitations that follow, plus a great centre in Nero… Rated: 4/5 Dec 17, 2023 Full Review Django | Rotten Tomatoes (5) Keith Garlington Keith & the Movies Corbucci’s style and genre-rich direction gives the movie a kick that you don’t find in most studio Westerns. “Django” could be too much for traditionalists, but that’s exactly what will makes it so beloved by others. Rated: 4/5 Aug 16, 2022 Full Review Django | Rotten Tomatoes (6) Matt Brunson Film Frenzy Don't be fooled into believing that Django had approximately two dozen sequels, as practically all (like Django Kill... If You Live, Shoot! and Django the Bastard) were merely unrelated rip-offs and most only included a character named Django in the title! Rated: 3/4 Jun 6, 2021 Full Review Read all reviews

Chris H I know this film is a beloved classic to many people, but sorry, it's not great. The dialogue is crass and the dubbing is appalling. There are a lot of things that make no sense and the film is terribly dated. I wonder, though, if it would be better if viewed in its native Italian? Nero is compelling and often looks like he's saying something profound and not the dross that the English dub makes him say. Maybe there's a great film in here somewhere.... Rated 2/5 Stars • Rated 2 out of 5 stars 08/05/24 Full Review Jonathan G The classic western is such an interesting beast from a past lifetime; and I’m really hoping to delve more into it as the only other classic western I’ve seen now besides this is also gorgeous and amazing (The Good, The Bad, & The Ugly).Essentially what people call a “spaghetti western”, Sergio Corbucci’s “Django” is a brutal and pure-blooded western. The ghoulish atmosphere makes this also as thrilling as it is a complete sight to the eyes, also, a theme song for the hero? Absolutely amazing. It’s somewhat campy nature also doesn’t muddy the film and actually makes it even more iconic and enjoyable. Oh and also, Franco Nero is absolutely great in this as well. I’m excited to watch the sequel, even though I heard it was terrible. It's over the top and satirical especially for the time it was made. It mixes action, thriller and western all very well. I had a lot of fun watching it.
